Giza Pyramids Complex

Many iconic attractions representing the fabled image of the ancient Egyptians were first created at the Giza Pyramids complex, including:

The Great Pyramid

The Giza Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu was one of the final seven marvels of the ancient world when it was built around 2600 BC. Its vizier Hemiunu created magnificent designs, which include the king’s chamber, the great hall, and many others. It is the tallest and largest building in the world, standing 147 meters (481 feet) tall and made of 3.2 million limestone stones weighing a total of 6 million tonnes.

The Great Sphinx

From a single piece of limestone, the legendary Sphinx of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) was carved about 2500 BC. It is a timeless work of art and is regarded as one of the biggest and oldest sculptures ever created by humans. The fabled Steele of Thutmose IV, which was added about 1404 BC, is placed before the sphinx.

The Valley Temple

The mummification method was developed in the valley Temple of Pharaoh Khafre. Numerous granite columns, sculptures, and alabaster flooring may be seen within the valley.

The whole family will have lunch at a fantastic restaurant with a Nile and Pyramids view before traveling with their tour guide to see:

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

Imhotep, a famous architect, began the Step Pyramid of Saqqara as a representation of a period in building. It features six mastaba steps that were built between 2670 BC and 2650 BC to serve as Pharaoh Djoser’s funeral complex.

City of Memphis

Under the heavenly protection of Ptah of craftsmanship, king Narmer founded Memphis city, the earliest known capital of Egypt, around 2925 BC. It is home to several magnificent sculptures and treasures from the three ancient Egyptian dynasties.

The Unfinished Obelisk

To stand at Karnak Temple and reach the sky, the incomplete Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508–1458 BC) was cut into the bedrock. With a height of 42 meters and a total weight of 1200 tonnes, it is known as an illustration of Egyptian stone artistry.

Temple of Philae

Isis, the goddess of motherhood, had the mythological Philae Temple built for her to preserve her tale. It was the last temple built in the Ptolemaic era’s 7th century BC, providing some insight into the religious practices and myths of the ancient Egyptians.

Between the Middle Kingdom (2000–1700 BCE) and the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE), a period of 1700 years, the complex of the Karnak Temples was built, becoming to become the largest religious center in recorded history.
