Arrival in Egypt, followed by the Pyramids Sound & Light Show

Our consultant will be ready for you when you arrive in Egypt to assist with your entrance paperwork and baggage. You’ll be driven to your hotel so you may check-in and unwind.

You will go at night with your tour guide to the magnificent Giza Plateau Sound and Light Show to see and hear the history of ancient Egypt come to life in the most enchanting and unforgettable way.

After the sound and light display is through, you’ll have supper at a restaurant in downtown Cairo before returning to your hotel.

Day Two: Visit Memphis, Saqqara, and the Pyramids

You will meet your Egyptologist tour guide after breakfast to begin your 12-day Egypt trip at one of the fabled marvels of Giza:

The Great Pyramids of the Fourth Dynasty, the Sphinx, and other ancient structures may all be found on the Giza Pyramids Plateau, one of the oldest archaeological sites on the planet. It dates back more than 4500 years.

The Great Pyramid

The Pyramid of Khufu is a heavenly structure that was created as a tomb by Khufu’s Vizier Hemiunu during the 26th century BC. It took 27 years for the pyramid to be completed, and it eventually became one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and the oldest one to still be completely intact.

The Great Sphinx

The well-known Great Sphinx of Pharaoh Khafre, who reigned from 2558 to 2532 BC, was carved out of limestone bedrock to display King Khafre’s face characteristics combined with the body of the sphinx, a legendary monster with a human head and a human body.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is a unique building designed to mummify monarchs’ remains to prepare them for burial under pressure. Red granite megalithic columns and alabaster flooring serve as the building’s structure. There are also sculptures of Khafre within.

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The Saqqara Step Pyramid, the first of its type, was created by the renowned Imhotep and constructed for Pharaoh Djoser in the 27th century BC. With a height of 62.5 m, it is by far the first significant man-made edifice composed of cut stone (205 ft).

City of Memphis

Memphis City was established by Pharaoh Menes to serve as the first recognized capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom and to commemorate the deity Ptah of Craftsmanship. It is located 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Cairo close to the Nile Delta. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.

Day Three: Fly to Sharm El Sheikh after seeing Cairo attractions

The Egyptian Museum

One of the earliest structures of its sort, the Egyptian Museum was constructed in 1901 to house more than 120.000 objects from all the many eras of ancient Egyptian history.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

The NMEC is a fantastic museum that was constructed in 2017 to display Egypt’s whole history and culture, from ancient times to the present. It has over 40.000 pieces of antiquities, including all the mummies of some of history’s most illustrious kings and queens.

The Hanging Church

On the same site where the holy family once resided, the Hanging Church of the Virgin Mary, also known as the Staircase Church, was constructed in the third century.

Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas

The Amr Ibn Al-as Mosque, which dates back to 640 AD, is the earliest mosque ever constructed in Egypt and all of Africa. It has some of the most spectacular examples of authentic Islamic architecture and has been expanded and rebuilt several times throughout history.

Synagogue of Ben Ezra

In the center of Cairo and built-in 882 AD, the Ben Ezra Synagogue is a unique building and the only one of its sort.

Market in Khan El Khalili

Since Sultan Barguq’s rule in the Mamluk period, which took place between 1382 and 1389 AD, the Khan EL Khalili Bazaar has been the ideal location for shopping. The street will be crowded with a wide variety of uncommon and exotic goods that are only available in Cairo.

We will transport you to the Cairo airport at the end of the day so you can catch your trip to Sharm El Sheik.

Day Four: Red Sea Scuba Diving

After being driven from the airport to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, where you may check in and unwind, you will meet your snorkeling teacher to start your underwater exploration of the rare and vibrant species and magnificent coral reefs.

Visit the magnificent Saint Catherine Monastery on day seven.

Your day will begin at 3:30 AM when you get to the summit of the mountain in time to see the glorious Sunrise. After that, descend till you reach the mouth gap at the base of Mount Sinai, which is where Saint Catherine City is situated.

Where the prophet Moses saw the burning bush was when Justinian I established the monastery of Saint Catherine in 565 AD. The oldest continuously running library in the world is housed there, along with many other outstanding features, making it one of the world’s oldest operational Christian monasteries.

Returning to Sharm el Sheik, you’ll spend the night at your hotel.

Day 8: Discover Islamic Cairo’s Wonders

After eating breakfast, and leaving your hotel to catch your flight to Cairo, you’ll check into a hotel there before exploring:

Citadel of Salah El Din

The fabled Salah El-Din castle was built by Saladin in 1174 AD and stood there until 1848. It is situated on Cairo’s highest point. From the 13th through the 19th centuries, it served as the principal administrative center for more than 700 years. In 1976, it was included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites for Islamic Cairo.

Mosque of Mohamed Ali

The Salah El-Din fortress, which was constructed in 1848 AD as an outstanding example of Ottoman architecture and the most exquisite Islamic ornamentation, houses the Mohamed Ali mosque.

After lunch, you’ll continue your Egypt trip to:

Madrassa-Mosque of Sultan Hassan

The Sultan Hassan Mosque-Madrassa is a stunning golden building that was erected in 1363 AD to house some remarkable architectural features and the most stunning historical artifacts from the Islamic era.

Mosque of Al Rifai

The golden Sultan Hassan mosque, which was built between 1356 and 1363, is next to the Al Rifai mosque. The Mosque is a remarkable example of both sophisticated Egyptian architecture and the golden age of Islam.

Day 9: Visit the Legendary City of Alexandria

Following breakfast, you will go with your tour guide to some of Alexandria’s treasures, including:

Kom El Shoqafa’s catacombs

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are a very special attraction that was created in the second century AD and were one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. It is a tomb for a single Greco-Roman family that combines Roman and Hellenistic elements with Egyptian burial practices.

Pompey’s Pillar

Diocletian the Roman emperor was honored with the construction of Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal column, in the year 300 AD. The summit of the pillar was said to contain General Pompey’s bones.

Citadel of Qaitbay

The magnificent Qaitbey Citadel was constructed in the 15th century on top of the old Alexandria Lighthouse using boulders that were rescued from it.

Alexandria Library

The sixth-largest francophone library in the world, the contemporary Bibliotheca Alexandria was founded in 2002 and spans 20000 square meters, housing several internal museums, art galleries, labs, and other cultural institutions.

Mohammed Ali Tewfik constructed the magnificent Mohammed Ali Palace in 1875 AD in Minimal, a district of southern Cairo, and it is a monument to luxury. Right now, it serves as a home museum showing the glitz and creativity of the royal class. It combines many items of art, furniture, clothes, silverware, and ancient texts from the Middle Ages with various architectural styles, primarily Islamic and European.

Abdeen Palace

The presidential palace and previous official residence of Egypt’s royal dynasty are the Abdeen Palace in Cairo. It cost 2.7 million pounds to build between 1863 and 1874 AD. The palace is a veritable epicenter of regal splendor; among its numerous museums are those dedicated to the royal family, arms, presidential gifts, silver, and historical documents, which house the most fascinating relics.

Baron Palace

The Baron Empain’s Palace, also known as Le Palais Hindou or “The Hindu Palace,” is a priceless treasure that Belgian merchant Edward Louis Joseph Empain constructed between 1907 and 1911. It is renowned for offering a distinctive viewpoint on the field of foreign Indian architecture.
