Day One: Fly to Cairo – Visit the Pyramids & the Museum

Your tour will begin when you get picked up by our employee who will pick you up from your hotel in soma bay and head to Cairo airport where you will meet your Egyptologist guide who will take you across all the epic attractions of Cairo such as:

Giza Pyramids Complex

The most complete piece of ancient Egyptian art and architecture is located at the heart of Cairo since 2600 BC where the three great pyramids of Giza of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and the incredible sphinx.

The Great Pyramid

The great pyramid of king Khufu is located in the city of Giza since 2580 BC to be his immortal resting place. It has a height of 147 m and a very advanced interior design which made it gain the title of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world which remains fully intact.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

One of the seven wonders of the middle ages is the catacombs, the rarest example of ancient Greco-Roman architecture and art but with a twist as this necropolis features a majestic mixture that features the artistic elements and artifacts of both the ancient Egyptian and Hellenistic cultures that dates to the 2nd century AD.

Pompey’s Pillar

The pillar of Pompey is the biggest monolith column to ever existed outside of Rome. It has a height of 28 m made of red granite and is 2.7 wide. The pillar was named that way because many believe that the remains of general Pompey were located at the top of the pillar.

Qaitbay Citadel

The only ancient Islamic construction in the entire city of Alexandria Qaitbay citadel was built in 1477 BC in the same location that once held the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria and also constructed from the salvaged rocks of the lighthouse and features amazing Islamic decorations.
