Day 1: Makadi Bay to Luxor – Landmarks of Luxor
You will be picked up from your Makadi Bay hotel in the morning and transferred to Luxor in a private A.C car to begin your Luxor & Aswan excursion in two days from Makadi Bay, where you will meet your private Egyptologist tour guide who will walk you through all of the legendary attractions of the ancient city of Luxor, including:

Memnon’s Colossi
Mega sculptures of quartzite sandstone representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386-1350) stand on the outskirts of Luxor, reaching a height of 18 meters (60ft). It was destroyed by an earthquake in 27 BC, but was reconstructed in 199 AD and transported 700 miles from Cairo to Luxor to serve as a watchtower.

The High Dam
In the 1960s and 1970s, Egypt built a new marvel named the High Dam, which was their ticket to a new era of clean energy hydroelectricity and irrigation system optimization by increasing water storage.
The Unfinished Obelisk
An incomplete marvel stands in Aswan, supposed to be at the entrance of the Karnak Temple and towering 42 meters tall. Unfortunately, it was cracked during construction and has remained in the same spot till now.
Temple of Philae
The timeless narrative of Osiris is told in the fabled Philae temple, the worship place of the goddess of Motherhood Isis, where he was murdered by his brother Set and avenged by his wife Isis and their son Horus. It was built between 380 and 362 BC and was moved to Agilkia Island by UNESCO in the 1960s as part of a rescue project that also included the Abu Simbel temples.
