Tour Itinerary
Day 1: From Makadi Bay, go to Aswan.
You will be picked up by A.C. vehicle from your Makadi Bay hotel in the morning and driven to Luxor, where you will board your 1st class Aswan train. You will meet your own Egyptologist tour guide upon arrival in Aswan and begin your Makadi Bay excursion to Aswan & Abu Simbel in two days trip by viewing all of Aswan’s sites, including:
The High Dam
In Aswan, this extraordinary piece of architecture was erected between 1960 and 1970 by Egyptian and Russian hands to usher in a new age of growth, wealth, and innovation by managing Nile flooding for agriculture and hydroelectricity production.
The Unfinished Obelisk
The unfinished obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC), which was supposed to stand at the Karnak temple’s entrance, is a one-of-a-kind work of art that never materialized. It is 42 meters tall and weighs 1200 tons, however, it was damaged during construction.
Temple of Philae
Thanks to the gorgeous entrancing Philae temple, which was erected between 380-362 BC to worship Isis, the goddess of motherhood, the epic Myth of Osiris has lived for endless centuries. The temple, along with the Abu Simbel temples, was transferred to Agilkia Island by UNESCO in the 1960s as part of a rescue project.
After lunch, you will check into a 5* hotel in Aswan for the night.
Day 2: Visit the Abu Simbel Temples
In the morning, pick up your breakfast boxes, check out of your accommodation, and continue your Makadi Bay excursion to Aswan & Abu Simbel in two days trip with your own tour guide by visiting:
Temples of Abu Simbel
The first Abu Simbel temple is a living example of the grandeur and architectural brilliance created by Ramses II (1279-1213 BCEvision )’s and hands from 1264 BC to 1244 BC to immortalize his victorious legacy and host the divine sun festival on the 22nd of February and the 22nd of October every year. The second temple honors his faithful and adoring wife, Queen Nefertari.
