Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Bahariya and the White Desert Safari
In the morning, at about 7:00 a.m., our representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel in a modern A.C car to begin your journey by embarking on a 4-hour drive to Bahariya Oasis. Don’t worry about the tour’s length; we’ll stop at the midway to rest and eat. We’ll drive to the oasis and, when you arrive at 11:30 a.m., we’ll swap out the current private air-conditioned vehicle for a 4×4 safari vehicle.
You’ll meet your expert local Bedouin guide, with whom you’ll proceed on a tour of the desert’s unrivaled sights, including the Sand Dunes area, where you’ll capture some stunning photos atop a dune that stands more than 50 meters tall. After that, we’ll continue on our journey till we reach the dark desert’s land. There, you’ll find “El Marcos Mountain,” a magnificent sandy mountain covered in black stones and minerals that resemble iron and coal.
The location you are now visiting was formed by the acts of volcanoes that occurred during the prehistoric period, and it will be an incredible opportunity for you to snap photographs in such a setting. In the afternoon, we’ll travel to “El Haiz village” to relax and enjoy your great lunch, but that’s not all; you’ll also find an intriguing market there where you can purchase Bedouin clothing, accessories, handcrafted gifts, and a variety of other interesting items. Around 2:30 p.m., you’ll depart with your Bedouin guide for an area called Agabat, which contains some incredible sculptures and limestone, and was once known as the Land of Obstacles since crossing it by camel would take at least three days.
Then, before sunset, you’ll head to the White Desert, where you’ll feel as if you’re walking on the surface of the moon, as the white sand of the desert resembles snow and the rocks resemble human heads, mushroom shapes, plant forms, and even chicken, all of which were created by the harsh wind in that area. You’ll take great images to remember the experience, and you’ll also be able to watch the sunset while you’re there.
Surprisingly, the color of the surface in this location is variable, as it is orange during the day and turns pink and then purple under the moonlight. We’ll drive back to the black desert for camping after taking some pictures, and we’ll stop along the way at Crystal Mountain to see a true miracle as the mountains’ stones shine as if they’re made of glass, making you want to take pictures, and there’s more as you’ll find desert wolf tracks in the sand.
After arriving in the Black Desert, the Bedouins will cook the finest Barbeque supper you’ve ever had. You’ll join them in a circle to gaze at the stunning beauty of a star-studded sky. You’ll be spending the night in a tent.
Day 2: Bahariya Oasis in the Black Desert – Cairo
You’ll go for a walk around the area early in the morning, before sunrise, to see the stunning sunrise vista between the mountains, which looks like it’s about to erupt. You’ll eat your breakfast before gathering all of your camping gear and leaving the region. Around 9:00 a.m., you’ll be transferred to a 4×4 and driven to the tallest mountain in the black desert, where you’ll enjoy the scenery and take some photos.
After that, you’ll head to “Ein Mady,” one of the most amazing warm springs in Bahariya Oasis, which is primarily used in the irrigation system, and you’ll see some spaces planted with palm trees there, as well as hear some stories from your guide about how they go about planting such magnificent palm trees. As a result, the Bahariya oasis is one of the most important hubs for date production in the world.
Finally, you’ll go to the city, where you’ll exchange your 4×4 for a modern air-conditioned vehicle before being driven back to your hotel to conclude your safari in Cairo.
