Day 2: Be astounded by the Pharaohs’ colossal icons.

Following breakfast and check-out from your Cairo hotel, you will begin your luxury adventure in Egypt by seeing the Giza pyramids complex, which has retained its magnificence despite the passage of time. The Giza pyramids complex has served as a reminder of the splendor of the immortal Egyptian civilization for over 4000 years; there you will find:

The Great Pyramid of Giza

It’s where history and mystery collide at the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian civilization. It is said to be the final surviving edifice of the ancient world’s seven wonders. It took 20 years to build in 2580 BC, utilizing 2,300,000 2.5-ton limestone stones and a staff of roughly 100,000 free skilled craftsmen. With a height of 147 meters (481 feet), the Great Pyramid was the world’s tallest structure for 3800 years, until the construction of the Lincoln Cathedral in England in 1311. Its advanced complicated interior has piqued the attention and piqued the curiosity of people all over the globe.

The Great Sphinx

It’s a legendary champion who was formerly known as “Hor-Em-Akhet,” which meant “Horus of the Horizon,” and is now known as Abu Al-Hawl, which means “The Father of Terror” in Arabic. It is shaped like the sphinx, a legendary monster with the body of a lion and the head of a man thought to be King Khafre, to represent his strength and intelligence. The sphinx, which stands at 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 19 meters (66 feet) wide, was carved out of a single massive limestone boulder.

The Valley Temple

It was built during Egypt’s old monarchy (2686 2134 BC) within the complex, and because of the ancient Egyptians’ building abilities, the valley is one of the best-preserved archeological sites of the ancient Egyptian civilization. It was a key source of knowledge regarding the mummification process and ancient Egyptian burial customs.

After that, join your tour guide for a great lunch at a luxurious Pyramids / Nile view restaurant and finish your day in Cairo by visiting:

Memphis city

Memphis was built by King Menes Narmer to be the life of the two lands in 2925 BC, and it is where the heritage of ancient Egypt made its initial steps as the official capital of Egypt. It was the abode of the deity Ptah, patron of creativity and art, and was known as the Land of Endurance and Beauty. It housed the Hut-Ka-Ptah temple, which meant Enclosure of the Ka of Ptah, and was translated into Greek as Ai-Gy-Ptos, the etymological basis of the term Egypt.

Step Pyramid of Saqqara

It was created by the genies Imhotep the vizier of Pharaoh Djoser, and it was where amazement struck for the first time, initiating the golden period of pyramid builds in ancient Egypt. It has a unique design with six stairs that rise to a height of 62 meters, and it is surrounded by a large complex with captivating decorations and grand ceremonial buildings.

After that, you’ll go to Cairo airport to take your flight to Aswan, where you’ll stay in a 5* high-luxury hotel for the night.

Day 3: Explore the Nubian City of Aswan’s Wealth

On the third day of your luxury vacation in Egypt, you will have breakfast at your Aswan hotel and continue your vacation in Egypt by seeing some of the major Aswan tourist sites, such as:

High Dam of Aswan

Built between 1960 and 1970 as a joint project with the Moscow-based Hydro Project Institute to improve Nile flood management, generate hydroelectricity, and boost water storage for agriculture, it has become a symbol of the modern world. The Great Abu Simbel Temple and the Philae Temple may have been destroyed as a result of the High Dam.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk, which stands tall as a sign of majesty, was erected at the gateway to Karnak temple by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC). It was known as “Tekhenu,” which means “To Pierce the Sky,” and displayed how obelisks were built. It would have stood 42 meters tall and weighed 1200 tons, but the obelisk was fractured during construction, forcing it to stay in the same spot till today.

Before going, have a bite to eat with your tour guide at:

Temple of Philae

Philea Temple is an ancient Egyptian mythical marvel where all the great legends were recounted, such as the “Myth of Osiris,” in which Isis’ husband “Osiris” is slain by his brother. Set is destroyed by Hours the falcon sky God the son of Isis and Osiris, initiating an era of prosperity and justice. Set is revived to be the king of the underworld, following which Osiris is resurrected to be the ruler of the underworld.

You will be transferred back to your high-end Aswan hotel for the night.

Day 4: Discover the Abu Simbel Temples’ Legacy

Take your breakfast boxes early in the morning, then check out of the hotel and join your tour guide for a 300-kilometer trip southwest of Aswan to see:

Temples of Abu Simbel

Since its construction by Ramses II (1279-1213 BCE) as the “Temple of Ramesses, cherished by Amun,” this monument has stood on the southern boundary. The sun festival takes place on the 22nd of February and the 22nd of October each year when the sun shines on the faces of the four seated statues of Ramses II, Ptah (God of Creation), Amun (The Creator God), and Ra (Sun God), and the second smaller temple is dedicated to his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. In the mid-1960s, the temple was the focal point of the most difficult archeological rescue effort in history, led by UNESCO.

After your day trip, proceed to Aswan for lunch before boarding your train to Luxor, where you will stay in a 5-star high-luxury hotel for the night.

Day 5: Marvel at the Pharaohs’ Majestic Architecture

On the fifth day, eat breakfast at the hotel before continuing your holiday by seeing Luxor’s east bank attractions, which include:

Karnak Temple

When it was built more than 4000 years ago, it was known as Ipet-isu The Most Selected of Places, and Pr-Imn House Of Amon, where the spiritual spirits of ancient Egypt were hidden. It is one of the world’s most significant religious man-made structures, and it served as the worship center for countless deities for over 1500 years, including the great Osiris, Montu, Ptah, and Isis, but the complex was primarily dedicated to the Theban triad, which consisted of God Amun, his wife the Goddess of Justice Mut, and his son the moon god Khnsou.

After that, you’ll have a luxurious lunch at a top-rated Luxor restaurant, then return to your hotel to recover, and then go out with your tour guide at night to enjoy:

Luxor Temple

Luxor Temple is a lunar marvel that shines most at night when the moon smiles upon it, revealing its hidden splendor. It was built during the reign of Pharaoh Amenhotep III in the year 1400 BCE and was known as “Ipetresyet,” which means “Southern Sanctuary.” It was completely devoted to the Theban triad’s God Amun, who represented the rebirth of royalty. The temple’s design is fascinating, with many embellishments and structures.

Transfer back to your hotel for the night after the day.

Day Six: Finish Your Journey in Luxor

Following breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you will continue your journey in Luxor by seeing the remainder of the fascinating Luxor tourist sites, including:

Temple of Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut Temple, also known as Djoser-Djeseru’s “Holy of Holies,” is a stunning example of ancient Egypt civilization’s ingenuity. It is a gorgeous monument built by Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most successful monarchs. The temple was established in 1479 BC during Egypt’s new kingdom and took 15 years to complete. Its architecture is based on the new kingdom’s Classical Architecture style, and it houses some of ancient Egypt’s most fascinating treasures and statuary.

The Kings’ Valley

It was the burial place for the Egyptian kings and queens of the new kingdom (1570-1070 BC). It contains 63 tombs filled with countless treasures, artifacts, statues, enchanting decorations, and the remains of pharaohs such as Rameses (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, IX, X), Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and Tutankhamun, In 1979, UNESCO designated the Valley of the Kings as a World Heritage Site.

Before you go, pause to eat your lunch:

Memnon’s Colossi

The Colossi of Memnon have been guarding Luxor for centuries; they are two pieces of quartzite sandstone, each weighing 720 tons and shaped like Pharaoh Amenhotep III, that stand 18 meters (60 feet) tall and weigh 720 tons (1386-1350). A huge earthquake in 27 BC severely destroyed the colossi, which were reconstructed in 199 AD. During the Greco-Roman era, the sculptures were well-known due to the Vocal Memnon phenomenon, produced by singing at dawn from time to time, which was nothing more than the sound of the wind blowing through the statue.

Then return to your Luxor hotel for the night.

Day 7: Take in the Must-See Old Cairo Attractions

Day seven will begin with breakfast and check-out from your Luxor hotel, followed by a flight to Cairo to finish your 9-day Egypt luxury itinerary by seeing some of Cairo’s major tourist sites, including:

The Egyptian Museum

The artifacts of ancient Egypt dating to more than 4000 years spanning the ancient Egyptian historical periods are indeed an everlasting time capsule that stores nothing but beauty. Over 120,000 items made of gold and valuable stones, as well as common materials like wood or stone, are discovered in the form of sculptures, jewelry, and funeral artifacts on the two floors of the museum, as well as a handful of exhibited mummies.

After that, you’ll take a break for lunch before finishing your day by visiting:

The Hanging Church

The Hanging Church, also known as The sacred Church of the Virgin Mary is the epicenter of Coptic culture in Cairo; it is one of Egypt’s most significant and known Coptic landmarks, and it has housed the Coptic patriarch for many years. It was built in the 5th century AD on the southern wall of a Roman fortification named Babylon. The hanging church is 30 feet tall and looms above Cairo, and its structure and interior are incredibly stunning, combining aspects from the 7th to 13th centuries of creative architecture.

Mosque of Amr Ibn Al Aas

It is Egypt’s and Africa’s most important Islamic destination, having been erected in 641 AD and remaining an operating place of worship and one of Egypt’s most significant and renowned Islamic sites. It was restored many times during the 7th century, making it a live illustration of the evolution of Islamic architecture through time.

Synagogue of Ben Ezra

It is Egypt’s last of its sort, going back to the 19th century and originally serving as a church before being converted to a synagogue in 882 AD. The synagogue is still in excellent shape, with outstanding Jewish designs and decorations; it was the center of Jewish worship for many years until the 1950s.

The Egyptian Civilization National Museum is located in Cairo, Egypt.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is the long-awaited miracle that will allow everyone to properly discover all of Egypt’s cultural and historical treasures, which are represented by rare and captivating artifacts and monuments.

Bazaar of Khan El Khalili

The monument was built in 970 AD and is still an active bazaar today. It is regarded as the Middle East’s golden brick road and has everything a traveler could dream of. It features historical cafés and businesses that represent the enchantment of old Islamic eras, and the whole street is lined with enthralling Islamic architecture and décor.

After that, you’ll check into a 5* high-luxury hotel in Cairo for the night.

Day 8: Explore Alexandria’s Historic Treasures

On day eight, you will have breakfast and continue your luxury adventure in Egypt by traveling to the Mediterranean Sea’s jewel, Alexandria, to see the following tourist attractions:

Kom El Shoqafa’s Catacombs

The enigmatic House of the Dead, which is regarded as Egypt’s most distinctive archaeological site, serves as an artistic piece reflecting the merging of Hellenistic and Roman aesthetic components with ancient Egyptian Pharaonic design. It was built as a necropolis in the 2nd century AD and has a variety of Greek and Roman antiquities and decorations across its three-level stories, earning it the distinction of one of the Middle Ages’ seven wonders.

Pompey’s Pillar

It is the tallest monolithic column ever erected outside of Rome, standing 28 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide and composed completely of solid red granite, with a Greek inscription dedicated to Emperor Diocletian carved on its western top side. It was given the name Pompey’s pillar because crusaders claimed that the bones of the renowned Roman leader Pompey were kept in a jar at the very top of the pillar during the Middle Ages.

After that, you enjoy a delicious lunch at a local Alexandria restaurant, and then you go to see:

Citadel of Qaitbay

The QaitBey Citadel was built in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Al-Din Qa’it Bay on the same site as the epic lighthouse of Alexandria, using salvaged stones from the wrecked lighthouse, which was the third-longest surviving ancient wonder until it was destroyed by a series of earthquakes between 956 AD and 1323 AD.

The Library of Alexandria

It’s one of the world’s best and most sophisticated libraries, and it houses the world’s sixth-largest Francophone library. It’s a wonderful home of knowledge that serves as a memorial to the ancient Alexandria library. It is a trilingual library with books in Arabic, English, and French, as well as the biggest French book repository in North Africa and the Middle East, beautiful art galleries, and some of the world’s rarest book collections.
