Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Visit Luxor’s Most Popular Attractions

Your two-day Luxor and Cairo from Aswan trip will begin with breakfast, followed by our representative picking you up from your Aswan hotel and boarding a train to the everlasting city of Luxor, where you will experience some of the top Luxor tourist sites, beginning with:

The Kings’ Valley

The Valley of the Kings is the heavenly last resting place of Egypt’s new kingdom’s finest kings and queens (1570-1070 BC), and it is one of the world’s most spectacular archaeological monuments, having been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It has 63 tombs with enthralling ancient Egyptian artifacts, décor, and the bones of pharaohs such as Rameses II and his dynasty, Amenhotep I, Hatshepsut, and the legendary boy-king Tutankhamun.

Temple of Hatshepsut

Hatshepsut Temple Deir El-Bahari celebrates the beauty and splendor of Queen Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most successful and visionary monarchs. The temple’s architecture is based on the notion of Classical Architecture from 1479 BC, and it houses some of Egypt’s most spectacular decorations and sculptures.

Memnon’s Colossi

The Colossi of Memnon are two huge stones of quartzite sandstone that rise at a height of 18 meters (60 feet) and weigh 720 tons each, each in the form of Amenhotep III (1386-1350). The colossi were severely destroyed by a massive earthquake in 27 BC. but were reconstructed in 199 AD. The Vocal Memnon, which the sculptures sang from time to time at dawn in a wailing sound that was nothing more than the sound of the wind blowing through the statue, made the statues renowned throughout the Greco-Roman era.

After that, you’ll eat lunch before heading to:

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is one of the world’s largest open-air museums, making it one of the most fascinating archeological sites in history. It was known for almost 4000 years as Ipet-isu, which means The Most Selected Of Places, and Pr-Imn House Of Amon. It was primarily devoted to the Theban triad, which comprised Deity Amun, his wife the Goddess of Justice Mut, and his son the moon god Khnsou.

You will fly straight to Cairo and spend the night in a five-star hotel.

Day 2: Visit Cairo’s Most Famous Landmarks

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet up with your tour guide to finish your two-day Cairo and Luxor trip from Aswan by seeing ancient Cairo tourist spots such as:

Giza Pyramids Complex

The Giza pyramids complex is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world and a true reflection of the ancient Egyptian civilization’s greatness. It dates back over 400 years and consists of three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the great Egyptian guardian, the glorious sphinx, and the valley temple.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last surviving edifice of the ancient world’s seven wonders, was built in 2580 BC in 20 years with 2,300,000 chunks of limestone weighing 2.5 tons apiece and a workforce of 100,000 free skilled craftsmen. The great pyramid soars at a height of 147 meters (481 feet), making it the world’s tallest structure for 3800 years. However, owing to its complicated interior compared to its huge size, it remains a mystery.

The Great Sphinx of Giza

The big sphinx is a mystery giant warrior sent from the sky. It is shaped like a mythological monster known as the sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a man, most likely king Khafre, to demonstrate strength and intelligence. The sphinx is 73 meters (240 feet) tall and 20 meters (66 feet) wide, and it was carved out of single limestone rock in under three years with the help of around 100 free-trained laborers.

The Valley Temple

It was built during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (2686-2134 BC) and is one of the best-preserved archaeological monuments and a rich source of knowledge about the mummification process in ancient Egypt. It’s totally composed of limestone and granite and has amazing diorite sculptures of King Khafre.

Lunch will be served at Pyramids Nile View Restaurant with your Egyptologist tour guide, after which you will visit:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum has the world’s largest collection of rare ancient Egyptian artifacts and monuments, stretching back over 4500 years and spanning the whole history of ancient Egypt, as well as a number of mummies and other exhibits. Inside the two-story structure are about 120,000 items ranging from expensive materials like gold, silver, and rare jewels to simple materials such as wood or stone in the form of sculptures, funeral objects, and supplies such as King Tutankhamun’s riches.

Transfer to Cairo Airport to catch your flight back to Aswan, bringing your two-day Luxor and Cairo vacation to a close.
